Role

Community Representative

General Information

Renee joined the Trust in June 2014. Renee is a Physiotherapist and currently works part time at Anglesea Clinic Physiotherapy as a Cancer Rehabilitation and Lymphoedema Trained Therapist. Renee has twin boys Tamai and Lucan. Tamai has been diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome and as a family they attended the McKenzie Centre from September 2012 until May 2015. The whole Mc Kenzie Centre experience has been beneficial, not only to Tamai, but to the family as a whole, at home, at the kindergarten the children attended and during the school transition process. Renee’s gratitude for the help that she and her whanau have received led to her joining the Trust as a parent representative, so that she could give back to the Centre in some way. Her expertise and perspective as both a medical professional, and most especially as a mum, are particularly valued by the Trust.
