Download Event (iCal)

When: February 8th, 2018 at 11:00 AM
Location: McKenzie Centre
Extra Details:

Sue Scott, Physiotherapist, runs this group monthly with children born prematurely. Children ‘graduate’ from this group once they begin to walk and are meeting their milestones. This playgroup is available for premature babies and their families. We meet on the second Thursday of each month, except January, from 11am to 12 noon.

This group is open to all premature babies born before 34 weeks gestation, right up until they are walking. Siblings are welcome to attend also. The group is facilitated by a physiotherapist and other specialists are available.

We provide

• A supportive playgroup.
•Opportunities to meet other parents and their premature infants.
•Play and socialisation for your baby.
•Advice about your child's development.
•Invited speakers as requested.

McKenzie Centre has offered its playrooms as the venue, you are not expected to enroll your child at the Centre. If your child does require early intervention we can arrange access to the McKenzie Centre or other services in the community.

Siblings are welcome, McKenzie Centre has a large playroom, so while you and your baby enjoy Premmie Playmates, brothers and sisters can have some fun too! They will be supervised by McKenzie Centre staff.

Grandparents and other interested family members are welcome.

We are all very aware of spreading bugs so we know that you will not attend when you or your children are unwell.
